Who's counting
at the door?
Issuing and scanning your tickets should not sit entirely with one party. With Access control you keep that part in your own hands — through a connection with your ticket provider, or with our scanners at the entrance.
How it works
Three processes.
Don't give all three away.
Three things happen around every ticket sold. If all three sit with the same party, nobody is left to put the numbers side by side — and if they are wrong, you only find out much later.
- 01
The payment
The money arrives at the payment provider attached to the ticket system — usually not your own choice. Whoever receives the money determines what the settlement says.
- 02
Issuing the barcode
A ticket is created with a unique code. Whoever issues those codes is the only one who knows how many are in circulation.
- 03
Scanning the barcode
On entry the code is scanned and invalidated. Whoever scans is the only one who knows who actually went inside.
One error in a code and the count is off — in the reporting and in the payout. Nobody puts them side by side, so it goes unnoticed.
Who checks that it adds up?
We do. Independently, alongside the numbers you already receive.
Keep at least one of the three in your own hands and you can verify your own numbers. That is exactly what we make possible.
Two flavours
Do it yourself or have it done.
You choose.
Software-based, through a connection
We provide the APIs that issue and validate barcodes. Your ticket provider builds in that connection, and from then on issuing and verification sit with you — without new hardware. Not every provider has the connection yet; we are happy to take up that conversation with them.
- APIs for issuing and validating barcodes
- Your ticket provider builds in the connection
- No new hardware needed
- Not yet available with every provider — we help with the connection
With our scanners at the entrance
We supply and manage the scanners. One device reads your own tickets and the national passes, so your staff never have to switch between systems. This requires no connection from your ticket provider — it always works.
- Available right away, whatever your ticket provider
- Scanners supplied, set up and maintained
- One scanner for your tickets and the passes below
- Suited to busy entrances and peak moments
- A fault? We have a replacement device ready
Every pass, in one scan.
Museumkaart cards, city cards and discount passes are recognised instantly at the checkout and at the door. One barcode scanner handles them all — no separate device per pass, so a tidy point of sale. Your team scans, the right condition is applied automatically and the visitor walks straight through.
Unlimited access for Museumkaart holders. Scan the card on entry and the visit is registered automatically.
VIP cardholders get in free or at a discount. One scan and the discount is applied instantly.
Amsterdam's official city card: free access to museums and attractions. Scan the card on entry and the visitor is straight in.
Rotterdam's discount pass for museums, attractions and activities. Scan the card and the discount is applied right away.
The all-in-one attractions pass. The visitor shows the pass, you scan and settle it in one go.
Work with another city or discount pass? We'll connect it on request. Issue your own friends pass
Everything that passes the door.
In one count.
Barcodes under your own control
The codes are issued through our connection, so you always know how many valid tickets are in circulation — whatever channel they were sold through.
Every code valid only once
A scanned code becomes invalid immediately, including at a second entrance or on a second device. Double use is ruled out.
National passes on the same scanner
Museumkaart, VriendenLoterij VIP-kaart, I amsterdam City Card and Rotterdampas are read by the same device. No second box at the desk.
Works without internet too
If the connection drops, the scanner keeps working from the last known list and syncs as soon as the network returns.
Real-time occupancy
You continuously see how many visitors are inside, per entrance and per time slot. Useful for capacity and for the fire service.
Sold next to scanned
What was sold and what was scanned sit side by side in the same overview. Differences stand out immediately instead of at the annual accounts.
What it costs
Depends on your entrance.
price on request
